Attorney Clinton Stahler is a diligent advocate for Ohio landowners. Clinton has always had a strong interest in real estate and property rights, having grown up on a farm in Northwest Ohio. Clinton has successfully defended numerous landowner clients and secured favorable outcomes in eminent domain cases involving road projects, pipeline projects, and power line projects. Clinton has also negotiated favorable terms for numerous clients in complex real estate transactions involving communications facilities leases, wind power facilities leases, oil and gas leases, pipeline and power line easements, purchases and sales of property, and other real estate transactions. Clinton has also won numerous favorable jury verdicts for his clients in road and pipeline cases, including a recent verdict of more than $1.1 Million more than ODOT’s estimate of fair compensation for a road relocation on his client’s property, and a verdict of more than 15 times NRG Energy’s offer to his client for a natural gas pipeline easement on her property.
Clinton also recently co-authored the Ohio section of the American Bar Association’s Fifty State Survey on Eminent Domain Law.
Clinton earned his Juris Doctorate degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Clinton is an avid pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and holds Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot Licenses in multiple jet aircraft. Clinton is a current member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Michigan Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and is admitted to practice law in the States of Ohio and Michigan, and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
